SEVERAL UPND losing parliamentary candidates in the August polls have filed petitions, challenging the outcome in their respective constituencies. Those who have successfully petitioned include Mpulungu South candidate Njenje Chizu who came third in the race, former Mwandi MP Sibeso Sefulo, who lost the Mwandi seat to independent candidate Iris Kaingu, and Zambezi Central candidate Dennis Maano, who lost the seat to independent candidate Raphael Ngimbu. Others include former Ndola Central MP Frank Tayali, who lost the seat to RP’s Emmanuel Mulenga, who served the constituency from 2016 to 2021, under the PF government. Nkana Constituency candidate Francis Mukuka has also petitioned the election, after losing to NRPUP’s Alexander Chiteme, while Mwense candidate Susan Mulala has petitioned after losing to...
