CHAPTER One Foundation has petitioned the Constitutional Court to declare last month’s three-day national closure of judicial complexes as unconstitutional and unlawful. COF is also seeking an order declaring that the measures taken by law enforcement and security agencies which prevented access to judicial services as unconstitutional. On August 24, the Lusaka High Court and several judicial complexes countrywide were closed, with armed police officers sealing off the premises, citing security reasons.
