THE Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) has granted Avocado Mining Limited approval to conduct a trial run after completing the installation of pollution abatement equipment. Avocado Mining Limited was shut down after it was found to have violated a cease and desist order issued by ZEMA in November 2024 by continuing its operations despite concerns over pollution affecting surrounding communities in Kalulushi District.
