PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has conveyed his condolences to Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, following the death of her husband, Hafidh Ameir Hassan. Hafidh Ameir Hassan died on Monday, September 7, 2026, while reportedly receiving treatment for a heart condition in Zanzibar. The death was announced by Tanzanian Vice-President Deogratius Ndejembi.
