SPEAKER of the National Assembly Nelly Mutti has successfully sworn-in the rest of the newly-elected members of parliament. The session, which is a continuation from Monday, is being conducted in line with parliamentary procedures, and has seen 224 MPs taking their oath of office, leaving out Lumezi and Mandevu constituencies, which are yet to have leaders elected into office. The ceremony marks the formal assumption of office by the lawmakers, following their election in the August 13 polls. The newly-elected MPs will now officially take up their responsibilities as representatives of their respective constituencies.
