FOOTBALL Association of Zambia (FAZ) has appointed Red Arrows coach Chisi Mbewe as U23 coach. FAZ General Secretary Charles Chakatazya says his appointment comes with the expectation of AFCON qualification and the 2028 Olympics. Mbewe will be assisted by Zanaco head coach Numba Mumamba as first assistant coach, George Chilufya as second assistant and Kalililo Kakonje as goalkeeper coach. The new technical bench is expected to lead the Under-23 national team as preparations begin for the Egypt 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
