AT long last, the State appears to have concluded investigations in at least one of the several cases that incarcerated opposition leader Brian Mundubile is facing. Last week, we saw some movement when the State transferred Mr Mundubile and his co-accused, Makebi Zulu, to Solwezi in North-Western Province, where the duo were expected to take plea in the sedition case. The matter, however, did not take off and was adjourned to October 5 for plea and possible commencement of trial. Defence lawyer Sakwiba Sikota said the notification was too short to allow the lawyers to travel from Lusaka to Solwezi, while police insist the defence team was informed.
