LIMA NRPUP MP Kelvin Kaunda has pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. In this matter, Kaunda is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, contrary to Section 248 of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia. It is alleged that on August 7, 2026, in Lusaka, Kaunda assaulted Anthony Mwamba, thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm. Magistrate Mutinta Mwenya read out the charge to the accused, who denied it. Meanwhile, the State said five witnesses would be called to testify in the case.
