University of Zambia Registrar Sitali Wamundila has announced that May salaries will be delayed until the institution receives a grant from government.
In an internal memo circulated Thursday, Wamundila said the inconvenience was regretted.
“This serves to inform all members of staff of the University of Zambia that the May 2019 salaries will be delayed and will be paid as soon as the grant is received. The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted. We thank you in advance for your usual cooperation,” stated Wamundila.
The whole of 2019, government has been delaying to release a grant to UNZA, resulting in delayed salaries.
