Zambia National Service officers have intercepted a truck at Mokambo boarder post which was smuggling mealie-meal to neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo from Mufulira town on the Copperbelt.

This happened today around 10:00 hours when ZNS officers who have camped at the broader post discovered two trucks passing through the bush with smuggled mealie-meal, making their way into Congo.

Sources have however confirmed that one of the trucks managed to get away.
