UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has insisted that Lusaka High Court judge Mwila Chitabo should recuse himself from presiding over his election petition for lack of impartiality.

Yesterday, Attorney General Likando Kalaluka’s submitted that there was no need for the judge to recuse himself because there was no basis for the application.

But when the matter came up today, HH’s lawyers insisted that the judge should recuse himself.

Ruling in the matter has been reserved for April 24.
