AMNESTY International has noted that in the last five years, Zambian authorities have continued to undermine the operations of the media in the country. According to the Amnesty International report titled ‘ruling by fear and repression’ conducted between June 2020 and January 2021, the report stated that suppression of media freedom had been another notable feature of the deteriorating human rights situation in Zambia over the last few years.
