AZADI Investment Limited, the company that constructed the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Development is the same firm that built former minister Ronald Chitotela’s house “on loan”. And lawyer Noel Simwanza, who signed the Anti-Corruption Commission settlement agreement for the arrested former minister, says he cannot comment on the circumstances around the consent as the matter is in court. Chitotela was appointed minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development in 2016 and served the ministry until 2019 when he was arrested on corruption charges.
