THE Zambia Meteorological Department (MET) has advised famers in areas which are not currently experiencing rainfall not to go ahead with planting. In an interview, Monday, MET Senior Meteorologist Peggy Thole said farmers in some parts of provinces like North-Western, Luapula and Northern could go ahead and plant since rains had already started. “For now, it is dry so we are not really advising that they plant. They will be advised when we see that the rains have stabilised because the rains are only around North-Western, Luapula and Northern, somewhere there.
