THE Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) has approved a combined 600 megawatts of solar power generation capacity to be developed in Mumbwa, Siavonga and Chirundu districts, with an estimated investment of $414 million. ZEMA Corporate Affairs Manager Ruth Kamwi says the agency also considered and approved 67 mining and mineral processing-related projects, 25 energy projects, 51 infrastructure development projects, 10 manufacturing and processing projects and three agriculture, forestry and tourism projects.
