FORMER home affairs minister Stephen Kampyongo’s wife, Wanziya Chirwa, has reached a consent judgement with one of her tenants renting her property in Foxdale area. The tenant will pay her K56,000, being the outstanding rental arrears from November 2022 to June 2023. Marlon Banda has also agreed to pay Chirwa K2,520, being the accumulated utility bills as at April 13, 2023. This is in a matter in which Chirwa dragged two tenants to Court, demanding payment of rental arrears amounting to K87,000 and K56,000, respectively. Chirwa, who cited Adrian Ndhlovu and Marlon Banda as respondents, wanted an order of eviction and recovery of possession of house number two and three on plot number three, Foxdale area, from the respondents.
