THE Kabwe High Court has sentenced Pambashe PF member of parliament Ronald Chitotela and two others to 10 years imprisonment with hard labour for arson. Meanwhile, Chitotela’s lawyer, Benjamin Mwelwa, has indicated that Chitotela will appeal against both the conviction and sentence. In this matter, Chitotela and Nickson Chilangwa were jointly charged with five others for the alleged offences of arson, threatening violence, malicious damage to property, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, allegedly committed in August 2021. The other five accused are Kalumba Chifumbe, Davy Kaniki, Chabu Chitotela, Charity Musantu and Kunda Chitotela.
