THE Lusaka High Court has received 41 petitions at parliamentary level, challenging the 2026 parliamentary election results. Among the latest petitions seeking fresh elections is losing UPND candidate Lee Mukupa in Lusaka’s Lima constituency. Mukupa polled 8,041 votes against NRPUP’s Kelvin Kaunda, who got 22,760 votes. Others include Chadiza West UPND candidate Jonathan Daka, who polled 7,085 votes and has petitioned the election of NRPUP candidate Obert Phiri, who polled 8,566 votes. Citizens First candidate Simon Muwa in Chilubi, who polled 2,760 votes has petitioned against UPND candidate Mathias Chitembo, who obtained 10,429 votes. Meanwhile, an independent candidate Daniel Phiri in Chama South, who polled 3,220 votes has petitioned against a fellow independent candidate Nkata Jerix, who obtained 4,338 votes....
