ZAMBIA will play Algeria in the Africa Silver Cup final next month.
The Lawrence Njovu tutored side secured the final place after beating Madagascar 31-29 in Mufulira on Saturday.
Algeria beat Ivory Coast 23-13 in France.
The winner between Zambia and Algeria with qualify for the Gold Cup.
Njovu said in an interview in Mufulira Zambia is not scared of Algeria.
“We saw how Algeria played and I think we have the capacity to beat them. We are not scared of Algeria. We will work hard,” he said.
The final is scheduled for August 25 at a venue to be announced by Rugby Africa.
And Njovu has praised his players for beating Madagascar.
He said his team put up an impressive performance during the match.
“The team worked hard and we deserved the victory,” he said.
And captain Ali Bhika said Zambia utilized their physical advantage.
“We capitalized on our physical advantage to beat Madagascar,” he said.
Zambia Rugby Union commended the team for the victory.
