THE Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Solidarity Programme has given the Cycling Association of Zambia (CAZ) a sum of K220,000 and 10 entry-level road bikes to promote the sport in the country. CAZ president Andrew Chibuye confirmed the development in an interview, Tuesday, saying the association is happy to receive support from the international mother body. The assist comes after CAZ had written to the mother body seeking equipment, financial and skills support. UCI responded that the request was submitted to the UCI Management Committee for consideration and was approved last month.
