ZAMBIA has been drawn against 2022 World Cup semi-finalists Morocco in the 2026 FIFA World Cup draws which were held in Abidjan Ivory Coast yesterday. Zambia is in Group E alongside Morocco, Niger, Congo Brazzaville, Tanzania, and Eritrea. The Chipolopolo will have to negotiate their way past Africa’s highest-ranked team Morocco, who made history in 2022 by becoming the first African country to reach the semifinals of a World Cup in Qatar. The FIFA World Cup was previously a 32-team tournament but the 2026 event will be graced by 48 countries. All group winners will automatically qualify for the FIFA World Cup while the best four runners-up will take a longer route to the tournament which will involve two playoff...
