ZAMCOPS Vice-chairperson Danny Mwikisa, popularly known as Danny Peddle, says the time allocated to creatives to make submissions to the Copyright Draft Bill by PACRA is inadequate and should therefore be extended. The recently released Copyright Draft Bill has been received with mixed feelings by creatives. Former Zambia Association of Musicians president Mailo Zulu and ex-National Arts Council Chairperson Mulenga Kapwepwe warned that if the bill was passed in its current form, it could strip artistes of their earnings, independence and control over their own creations.
