A CHAINDA woman who branded her husband’s second wife as a girlfriend, prostitute and husband snatcher got the shock of her life when her husband revealed in court that the marriage was still intact. Mary Mooya, 27, told the Chelstone Local Court that she believed her husband, Brian Chobe, 31, had ended his marriage to Doreen Chobe, 24, and therefore treated her as a mere girlfriend after her husband returned home last year and told her that he had ended things. Brian denied the claim, telling the court that Doreen remains his wife because traditional marriage rites had been performed and the union could not easily be dissolved.
