A 29 year-old man of Lusaka’s John Laing compound has been dragged to court for defiling a mentally challenged juvenile.

And three people have appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Courts on one count of theft of chemicals used for making Boom detergent paste.

In this matter, Peter Kombe, a machine operator, is charged with defilement of idiots or imbecile contrary to the laws of Zambia.

It is alleged that Kombe, on unknown dates but between October 10, 2018 and October 11, 2018 in Lusaka, had unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 16 years knowing she was an idiot.

And when the matter came up for allocation, Monday, the accused was not present in court.

The matter has however been allocated to magistrate Alice walusiku and Kombe is expected to take plea on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, three people have appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Courts on one count of theft of chemicals used for making Boom detergent paste.

This is a matter in which Godfrey Malambo, 38, a Security guard; Felix Kalumba, 30, of Kanyama compound and Ephraim Mulenga, 38, of Chawama are charged with theft contrary to the laws of Zambia.

Particulars of the offence are that the three jointly and whilst acting together on October 21, 2018 stole chemicals for making Boom detergent paste valued at 10, 850.87 the property of Trade Kings Limited.
