THE Zambia Meteorological Department (MET) has projected that the Tropical Cyclone Freddy which has hit Malawi will not be heading to Zambia, as its effects will reduce starting today. According to BBC, at least 190 people are confirmed dead in Malawi after Tropical Storm Freddy ripped through southern Africa for the second time in a month. The BBC further reported that the government has since declared a state of disaster in 10 southern districts that have been hardest hit by the storm.
