AT LEAST three of the Egyptian nationals who have been arrested by the Drug Enforcement Commission in connection with the $5.69 million gold scam are believed to be military personnel, sources in Cairo have told News Diggers. The fourth arrested Egyptian is believed to be an “arms consultant”, the fifth has been identified as a powerful businessman who trades in gold and jewellery with various shops around the North African country while the identity of the sixth foreign national has remained unclear.
