THE Christian Churches Monitoring Group (CCMG) has called for the urgent appointment of a Chief Electoral Officer at the Electoral Commission of Zambia, saying the delay is worrying. According to a statement signed by committee members, Monday, CCMG stated that the absence of a substantive Chief Electoral Officer hindered ECZ’s ability to function to the best of its ability. “CCMG is deeply concerned about the prolonged vacancy in the position of the Chief Electoral Officer at the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ).
