FORMER health minister Dr Brian Chituwo says the National Health Insurance Management Authority (NHIMA) needs to have clear direction on how it intends to offer its services to the public. And Dr Chituwo says NHIMA needs to consider investing in some profit making ventures in order to generate resources, rather than depending on client contributions and government funding. On Tuesday, NHIMA announced the revision to its benefit package, with dental services and provision of spectacles getting the chop effective July 1, 2024.
