A TWENTY-TWO-YEAR-OLD woman who stole a four months old baby from its parents in Lusaka’s Shatumbu area on Monday appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court and admitted committing the crime. Lusaka Resident Magistrate Mutinta Mwenya then convicted Grace Banda and sentenced her three months imprisonment for making the mother of the baby undergo stress and panic during the time her son was missing Magistrate Mwenya said she hoped the custodial sentence slapped on Banda would warn others to desist from stealing other people’s children.
