CABINET has approved the establishment of the Presidential Constituency Energy Initiative and Programme, aimed at developing small solar farms of 2 MW for each of the 156 constituencies, resulting in a total capacity of 312 MW. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Local Government says the project is designed to utilise the CDF in order to accelerate the deployment of solar energy across the country.
