ACTING Foreign Affairs Minister Princess Kasune says no Zambian has been affected by the ongoing anti-immigrant protests in South Africa, as of May 6, 2026. Kasune says there are currently 8,223 Zambian citizens in South Africa, stating that government stands ready to come to the aid of Zambians if the situation deteriorates. She further said government remains confident that the South African government will undertake necessary measures to maintain law and order and uphold its constitutional and international obligation to protect all persons within its jurisdiction.
