TONSE Alliance elections chairperson Japhen Mwakalombe says there will be voter apathy in constituencies where MPs have gone unopposed. Mwakalombe says those who have allegedly received money for their withdrawal have “cursed themselves and their generation”. Independent candidates for National Assembly elections have continued to withdraw from the race in some cases leaving the ruling candidates unopposed. Commenting on the development in an interview, Mwakalombe recognised that candidates had rights to withdraw.
