POLICE in Lusaka have shot dead a Barlastone man after he allegedly attacked officers. In a statement, Saturday, Police Spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi said officers had gone to the now deceased Felix Sakashashi’s residence to investigate reports of malicious damage and threats of violence. He explained that upon arrival, Sakashashi emerged armed with a machete and struck one of the officers on the right arm, prompting another officer to discharge a firearm in response to the immediate threat, fatally wounding the suspect.
