THE Resident Doctors Association of Zambia (RDAZ) has questioned the Civil Service Commission’s criteria of prioritising the recruitment of volunteer health workers who attended President Hakainde Hichilema’s campaign rallies, describing the process as “unusual”. The Association says the Civil Service Commission should create a separate pool of volunteers who attended the rallies for recruitment, while preserving the 2,600 advertised positions for for those who didn’t. On Friday, Civil Service Commission Chairperson Dr Choolwe Beyani said the volunteers identified by President Hichilema during campaign activities fall within the 2,600 and will be priorised in the recruitment process.
