SOCIALIST Party president Dr Fred M’membe has warned that Zambia is losing trust in chiefs and the Church due to political control. In a Facebook post, Monday, Dr M’membe said when traditional and spiritual institutions align with politicians, they sacrifice their independent voice. He said when traditional and religious leaders surrender to politicians, communities lose moral oversight, accountability, and impartial conflict resolution. “What we are seeing in Zambia today is what happens when all leadership and governance of the nation are ceded to the politicians.
