POLICE have confirmed that former Bangweulu PF MP Anthony Kasandwe was apprehended on Friday, and is currently detained at Kabwata Police Station. Police Spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi has however refuted assertions that Kasandwe was abducted, arguing that police do not abduct individuals, but instead apprehend suspects. According to a Facebook post, Emmanuel Mwamba claimed that Kasandwe was abducted by police in Kabangwe, while on his way back from visiting Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu at Mukobeko Maximum Facility. Kasandwe who lost the Bangweulu parliamentary seat to UPND’s Happy Mampa, has since petitioned the August election results.
