POLICE in Kitwe have arrested 10 people for theft of 201 mattresses which were in transit. Copperbelt Police commanding officer Sharon Zulu said some Kitwe residents looted the mattresses belonging to U-Rest Foam Company of Ndola after a trailer’s hook disconnected from the truck and flipped sidewards. “Follow up report on Theft of Goods in Transit, occurred on 17/7/22 near the Rail Crossing opposite St Anthony Compound Kitwe in which M/Clement Katungu aged 52, of Hse No.2050 Kabushi Compound Ndola reported that some residents of St. Anthony and Kandabwe Compound stole 201 mattresses in different sizes at the same place after the trailers hook plugged off from the truck and flipped sidewards.
