THE Kasama Magistrates’ Court has sentenced PF Member of the Central Committee Chishimba Kambwili to five months imprisonment with hard labour for the offence of expressing hatred or ridicule for persons because of tribe and place of origin. Kasama Resident Magistrate Samson Mumba sentenced Kambwili after finding him guilty of the offence. In mitigation, defence lawyers appealed to the court to take into consideration that the convict was the first offender, a family man and a person who served the nation as a Minister.
