A 20-YEAR-OLD Itezhi-Tezhi man who allegedly assaulted a friend by hitting him with a beer bottle on the head after a drinking spree has pleaded not guilty. Kelon Nkandela, a taxi driver from Masemu compound in Itezhi-Tezhi, has been charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Brief facts of the offence are that on December 15, 2023, in Itezhi-Tezhi, Nkandela assaulted Eston Kalezhi, 36, a taxi driver of Lilanda compound in Itezhi Tezhi, causing actual bodily harm.
