THE Auditor General’s Special Report on the procurement of petroleum products from 2019 to 2021 has revealed that in 2020, government made losses amounting to US$20,978,814 by engaging in a “questionable” upfront pricing with a company for the supply of fuel. And the Report revealed that the Ministry of Energy entered into a contract with Miroteks Limited Liability Company of Russia for the supply and delivery of 200,000 MT of pure crude oil at a contract sum of US$112,353,040 when the company did not have the commodity.
