AIRTEL Zambia says it is strengthening power backup solutions at key sites to mitigate poor network issues amidst extended load shedding. The telecommunications company says it appreciates its customers’ patience as it works to mitigate the impact of load shedding. Recently, Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati disclosed in the National Assembly that the country would continue to experience network challenges until the energy crisis was resolved. In July this year, the Zambia Information and Communications Authority (ZICTA) imposed a K5.2 million sanction on Airtel Networks Zambia as compensation to consumers, following a data service outage experienced on June 10, 2025.
