ZESCO Limited has launched the smart grid pilot project in Roma Township, Lusaka, in a bid to enhance electricity reliability, reduce unplanned outages and improve customer service. According to a statement issued by the ZESCO Corporate Affairs Department, the utility company, in collaboration with Beacon Power Services (BPS) Ltd will begin installing upgraded prepaid smart meters and modernising electrical infrastructure across Roma.
