MILLERS Association of Zambia (MAZ) president Andrew Chintala says most millers across the country have reduced mealie meal prices to between K220 and K230 due to the bumper harvest and strong kwacha. On Sunday, Sunshine Milling announced that it had cut mealie meal prices by K40, from K260 to K220, citing lower maize prices, falling diesel costs, a stronger kwacha and supportive government policy. Commenting on this in an interview, Monday, Chintala said he was hopeful that the reduction trend would continue.
