THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has convicted a 47-year-old man accused of indecently assaulting his seven-year-old daughter at the Cancer Diseases Hospital while nursing her. The convict allegedly sexually assaulted his daughter by inserting his fingers into her private parts while bathing her at the hospital. The court has since committed him to the High Court for mitigation and sentencing. Lusaka Magistrate Kawama Mwamfuli, however, acquitted him of the charge of incest, stating that the prosecution failed to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt.
