YOUTH Alliance Party president Mark Mwachilenga has petitioned the Constitutional Court seeking the disqualification of Harry Kalaba and Dr Brian Mushimba from the August 13, presidential election on account of having no running mates. Mwachilenga is also seeking an order declaring that the participation of Kalaba and Dr Mushimba in the presidential elections without running mates is unconstitutional and illegal. Mwachilenga has also dragged the Electoral Commission of Zambia into the matter as the first respondent.
