PF vice-president Given Lubinda says PF is simply out of office in order to make itself an even better, stronger and responsible government in 2026.

And Lubinda says the party is confident of scooping the forthcoming Kaumbwe by-elections.

In an interview, Lubinda said PF was not an experimental government because it had a record of delivering to the people.

“Our message is very simple and straightforward. The PF is a tested party, it is not an experimental government. This is a government that has a record of delivering to the people. We will remind the people of Kaumbwe how in the last 10 years, the PF has been able to deliver fertilisers on time. We are going to remind the people how the PF’s agricultural policy led to increased yields of agricultural products in places, including Kaumbwe. We shall remind them how for the very first time, they were given a school. We shall remind the people on our developmental trajectory where we promised them that we will do a hospital for them,” Lubinda said.

“We shall remind them how we initiated the rehabilitation of the Kaumbwe- Petauke road. We shall remind the people of Kaumbwe how ever since the PF government, they had not suffered losses of maize because of delayed purchasing by the Food Reserve Agency. We shall remind them that the PF government was simply out of office for us to make ourselves an even better, stronger and responsible government in 2026. We shall also advise the people of Kaumbwe on how experimental governments such as the UPND government are quick to shift goal posts.”

And Lubinda said the party was confident of scooping the forthcoming Kaumbwe by-elections.

“We shall show them that the UPND government promised them that by the 1st of September they will increase the price of maize from K150 to K250 and yet up to now, the price has remained at K150. We shall also remind them of the fact that the PF government already delivered all agricultural inputs, the agricultural inputs are stuck in the depots. People have paid their FISP contribution but inputs have not been released to them and the rainy season is only a few weeks away. The UPND government is failing to release the inputs because they know the people will question them as to why they are not giving them the promised 12 bags each,” said Lubinda.

“Fortunately for us, we adopted a very formidable candidate in the run up to the 2021 August election and we are very happy that he is a loyal member of the party and he has presented himself yet again to be our parliamentary candidate. We are very confident that Aaron Mwanza will win, he was born and bred in Kaumbwe. I have every confidence that he strikes a good code of relationship with the people of Kaumbwe. I have confidence that in the next three weeks, we shall remind the people of Kaumbwe of the reason to vote for Aaron Mwanza and to vote for the PF.”
