ENERGY Minister Peter Kapala says government is eager to start exporting more electricity once connected to East Africa. And Kapala says the UPND government is doing fine and has its eyes on the ball. In an interview, Kapala said Tanzania, Zambia and Kenya were inter-connectors. “We have got a surplus, remember I have always said that we have a surplus, what we need is to reinforce the transmission lines so that we can export more. We are hoping that if the Tanzania trip heeds fruit, we are going to also urge our Tanzania counterparts to move the Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya inter-connector so that we can move quickly on that one.
