THE Millers Association of Zambia (MAZ) says it hopes that the Kwacha will stabilise during the one-year maize importation window, as fluctuations in the local currency will bring about price distortions. Agriculture Minister Mtolo Phiri recently disclosed that government had granted authority for the importation of white and yellow non-genetically modified maize grain for both human and industrial consumption for the period April 2024 to April 2025.
