THE Oil Marketing Association of Zambia says the 90 percent payment of the $800 million debt by government will bolster supplies of petroleum products into the country amid the Middle East War. On Wednesday, Energy Minister Makozo Chikote disclosed that the government had settled 90 percent of the debt owed to OMCs. The said debt consisted of principal and accrued interest for fuel supplied between 2019 and 2022 by OMCs to government, a period during which subsidies were in effect.
