ZAMBIA’S former Ambassador to Ethiopia Emmanuel Mwamba will be required to issue a public apology to University of Zambia lecturer Dr Sishuwa Sishuwa and to pay him K30,000 nominal damages for defamation, following a consent judgement entered by the duo. And Dr Sishuwa says he intends to donate the money to a charity or orphanage because all he ever wanted was a retraction and an apology for the false and defamatory statements which harmed his reputation. Dr Sishuwa sued Mwamba in the Lusaka High Court in April last year, seeking damages for defamation and malicious falsehood.
